Yep! Had ice for the last few days on the big pond as it has no moveing water. It lasts till afternoon before
it melts. The small pond has only had a little on the edges but I leave the pump going in there.
Wow it is nice to be able to post. It is really hit and miss for me on the MSN site. Havn't been able to post for days. Lori |

Lori, we are supose to get up to 80 today here in Colorado so the ponds should warm up.
Our coldest days are usually around Thanksgiving so the ponds will probably freeze over then.

It is supposed to be in the 70's here today. I wish I wouldn't have shut down the pond so soon. Hopefully the fish will
be fine. I think I like leaving stuff running better. Next year!

Lori, my pond have greened up since I turned off my filter. I didn't think it was going to stay this warm or I would have
left it on.
It sure has been dry so we would love some rain or even wet snow.

Not yet. It's just in the low 50's now at night. Of course the water is all gone my husband drained and is doing some remodeling of the pond and house
cleaning. No fish and now water. I sure miss it. Hubby says I will like the results. We have been planning this for some time. Plus hubby is making another
pond too that will be bigger.

oh yea, we had a quick 5 inches of snow ,then it froze over good. Only bad thing was the snow made the floats that hold my netting up top heavy and tip over,
and now most of the netting is in the ice. its hasnt been above freezing in two weeks. First time this has happened. toph2o

My ponds are still ice free. Usually by this time they are frozen over, but it hasn't gotten real cold this season.
Some mornings there is ice on the ponds, but it melts within a few hours. Usually right after Thanksgiving we get sub zero temperatures which freezes the ponds real well. So it should happen soon. But I would be happier if it doesn't freeze at all since I am not a cold weather lover. |

Half of our pond froze over. I have a small pump running and one of those heaters that keeps a small hole in the ice.
We had 10 inches of snow last week, but it rained the other day and it's mainly gone. MaryB |

Buster has been walking around on the pond since I saw some of his tracks in the snow on the ice.
It has been below zero here so I guess Buster figures the ice must be thick enough to support his weight. dogs singing christmas song |
